News From The Dugout
Squad News - July
Mark Gillespie continues to be Calum's main concern having suffered ligament damage to his knee in the Fosters Cup tie against Fraserburgh last season. It is hoped he will return to training in the next couple of weeks if given the all clear by the sports injury clinic.
Calum is still hoping to add to the squad whilst retaining the current pool of players. He has also signed some of the clubs younger players on long term deals with both Logan Barker and Ian Foggo committing to 3 year contracts. Ian broke into the first team squad last year and at only 16 he quickly became a 1st team regular. Logan signed on just 3 days after his 16th birthday and will feature in the U17 side this season. Several other trialists are due to train with the squad over the next fortnight before Calum finalises his squad for the coming season.
With the North Caledonian League due to kick off in late August, friendly games are being lined up for 31st July against a Dumbarton FP team and against a team from the south of England on August 14th at Claggan Park.
