Lochaber Street League

This is the fourth season of the highly popular Lochaber Street League.

 
 
The street league is open to youngsters between 7 and 16 years of age throughout the Lochaber area. The league is 7 a-side with a squad of 11 players maximum. You as players pick your teams. If you don’t have a team you will be given a place in a team for your age group.
 
Matches are played throughout the Summer holidays starting on the 6th July 2009, every Monday and Tuesday evening at 6pm at the Canal Parks in Caol.
 
Print off the registration form and contract form and return to Kilmallie Police Station, Caol by 13th June 2009. Also remember to print off the sponsorship form and complete one of the three sponsored walks taking place on 21ST June, 28th June and 5th July 2009.

The aims of the league, apart from offering youngsters an opportunity to play sport, are social integration, non-formal education, sustainable crime reduction and health. Youth workers from Education, Culture and Sport also attend the matches to speak to children about any issues they may have.

The season will close on September 11th 2009 with an end of season presentation at Caol Community Centre.
